Exams are over and I’m free!
Well, not exactly free thinking of my stupid art-block. That’s why I set up my own therapy a few days ago.
It works like this:
I bought a good sketchbook (Usually I’m not a sketchbook user) and will sketch at least one double page per day in there. And I have to do it! No excuses! But since I have no own ideas, I take something as a reference. Could be anything: a song, something from a book, an illustration, a photography, something I saw, anything. Having that, I try to build the world around it. And it works quite well I must say! And basically that’s how phantasy usually goes, only that I can’t do it automatically and need some help. It’s really still more a progress of constructing something than creating something, but I hope it will change through continious practise.
Now I’d like to share two double pages I came up with, one of them was intentionally Metal themed, because I will start working on my Wacken Comic the next days.

Just returned from my college presentation. All in all it went well, but on the other hand it made me quite sad, because you can see that I haven’t worked on my skills for over half a year now and I’m so sad that I still have lost my phantasie, that I have this neverending artblock. I became one of the people I never wanted to be, people with no phantasie. If I had a wish, I would wish this to end.
And luckily nobody asked for more photos, so I can end this entry.
Bye
Today I had to do a classic photomanipulation in Photoshop: Madonna. Pretty ugly.

And I finally finished my book! A lot of things went wrong while binding it, so it lost a lot from it’s original size and I stitched instead of glued the endpaper etc. But I think it will be good enough for my presentation on monday. I’ve only took a quick shot of it, If there’ll be requests to see more from the inside, I can take some more shots for my next blogpost (when I can tell how my presentation went.).

Having this off my list, I can start learning for another exam.
For a few months I was, now and then, working on a chrochet long-term projekt. It’s a black summer dress and today I finally finished it. Yay! It was quite a challenge, because I made it without a pattern or such. And though it has a few kinks it fits very well and I’m happy it’s finished.

The next long-term project will be a knitted winter jumper, based on this old 70’s/80’s pattern, but of course I will knit it in black! This will also be quite a challenge, because I never knitted a jumper before.

I love the fun stuff we do at college.
